Trainee program
This is program where Russian/Norwegian companies can use Russian/Norwegian students for problem solutions through trainee arrangement in Norway. Several Norwegian companies and network search for a program where they can use Russian students through trainee arrangements in Norway for problem solution and clarification work.
Durance:
Aim: The trainee arrangement will give students practice experience from another country where they have opportunity to get to know new labour culture and other ways to do work. The companies will get the opportunity to acquire knowledge about the market on the other side of the border and find new ways to cooperate. The program has
Target group for the program: students and young entrepreneurs, Norwegian and Russian SMEs
Trainee arrangement will give following effects:
- Trainee will get better knowledge of Norwegian/Russian language and culture
- Company will be supplied by competence from Norwegian/Russian conditions
- Company will get help with translation and other linguistic topics
- Company gets access to network and other competence through student’s learning institution – network
- A new channel for recruitment of new associates
The trainee period will last from 2 to 6 weeks depending on company’s needs. During the program the students will get introduction in company’s working area, and one person will be responsible for the student during the trainee stay. The student will be involved in a concrete problem solution for company. The candidates will register their CVs at Student’s Portal at Barentsnova where companies can choose the trainee. The company is responsible to follow up the student during the trainee stay.
The program will be realised in close cooperation with universities and colleges in Norway and Russia, NHO, Innovation Norway and other actors who are welcome to participate. It is underlined that the physical work should not take place and that this is only case for problem solution as part of student’s education. Possible accomplishment of case can be done on Norwegian / Russian side in cooperation with the company and student’s learning institution. According to the current Norwegian visa regime Russian students can stay in Norway up to 90 days.
It is expected that the company covers all the expenses for student including expenses for transport and stay as well as possible additional fees for student’s learning institution for organisation and administration. It is applied for financing through trainee program administrated by NHO.
